On August 5th, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport ("Baiyun Airport") celebrated its 20th anniversary since transitioning operations to its new location.

Twenty years ago, at 10:50 PM on August 4th, 2004, the old Baiyun Airport gracefully concluded its 72 years of service. The following morning at 7:05 AM, flight CZ3932 from Guangzhou to Haikou departed from the new airport, marking the official launch of operations at the new Baiyun Airport. This seamless overnight transition between the old and new airports was a significant milestone in the history of Chinese civil aviation.

Expanding domestic and international network

Over the past 20 years, Baiyun Airport has significantly expanded its domestic and international connections. In 2004, the airport served 113 cities, with only 28 international and regional passenger routes. By July 2024, over 80 airlines operate regularly at Baiyun Airport, with more than 230 domestic and international destinations. The airport's network now spans five continents, connecting nearly 100 international and regional destinations with approximately 1,500 weekly international and regional flights.

Since the transition, Baiyun Airport has handled over 950 million passengers and processed more than 28 million tons of cargo and mail. The daily flight operations have increased from 500 in 2004 to over 1,500 today, with daily passenger numbers rising from 56,000 to over 200,000. The airport's peak single-day passenger volume reached 267,100, with a peak monthly volume of 6.86 million passengers.

In the coming months of August and September, Baiyun Airport plans to launch or increase frequencies on international routes to destinations such as Islamabad, Cebu, Vientiane, Perth, Jeju, Fukuoka, and Belgrade.

Building a comprehensive international aviation hub

Leveraging the high-quality development and openness of Guangdong and Guangzhou, Baiyun Airport is rapidly advancing toward becoming a comprehensive international aviation hub that connects nationwide, intercontinental, and global routes.

The phase Ⅲ expansion project of Baiyun Airport commenced on September 27th, 2020. Upon completion, the airport's annual passenger and cargo handling capacities are expected to reach 120 million passengers and 3.8 million tons, representing increases of 50% and 52%, respectively.

The future plans for Baiyun Airport include the construction of a new high-speed rail station, integrating six high-speed rail lines such as the Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Macao High-speed Railway and the Guangzhou-Heyuan High-speed Railway, along with five intercity railways, including the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway (Xintang-BaiyunAirport-Guangzhou North Railway Station section)and Fangcun-Baiyun Airport Intercity Railway. These railways will connect Baiyun Airport closely with major railway hubs like Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station and Guangzhou North Railway Station. Additionally, with the existing Guangzhou Metro Line 3, theeast loop of the Guangzhou-Foshan Intercity Rail, and the two expressways (Guangzhou Airport Expressway and the Second Airport Expressway), Baiyun Airport aims to establish a comprehensive integrated transportation hub.

Baiyun Airport has successfully secured the hosting rights for the 2025 ACI Customer Experience Global Summit and the Airport Services Conference of the China Civil Airports Association. In September next year, thousands of representatives from global government agencies, airports, airlines, civil aviation organizations, and related enterprises will gather in Guangzhou to promote civil aviation development and foster economic trade and cooperation.

广州白云机场转场20周年：累计运载搭客超9.5亿东谈主次

8月5日，广州白云外洋机场（以下简称“白云机场”）迎来转场运营20周年。

回望20年前，2004年8月4日22时50分，走过72年风风雨雨的老白云机场无缺谢幕。8月5日早上7时05分，广州至海口的CZ3932航班再行机场升起，宣告新白云机场运营全面开启。新老白云机场在今夜之间竣事无破绽到手转场，在中国民航史上写下了浓墨重彩的一笔。

在节能环保的大趋势下，SHEIN也在更多业务场景中探索新能源车的推广使用，包括SHEIN的供应商在入库物流中逐步引入新能源电车。

快手高级副总裁、主站业务与社区科学线负责人盖坤表示，快手未来将继续加大在AI领域的投入，大力推动技术创新，“坚定地为用户做最好的AI技术”。据盖坤介绍，快手搭建了以快意语言大模型、推荐大模型、视觉生成大模型为核心的大模型矩阵，覆盖内容理解、分发、生成等多个层面，并深度服务快手的商业生态场景。其中，快手的推荐大模型SIM，凭借十万亿参数的规模，成为全球领先的推荐系统之一，其下一代架构ACT预计每日将为快手App增加4亿分钟的用户观看时长，显著提升用户粘性和活跃度。

国表里洋“一又友圈”箝制扩大

转场运营20年来，白云机场国表里洋“一又友圈”箝制扩大。2004年，白云机场通航城市仅有113个，外洋和地区客运航路仅有28条。至2024年7月，白云机场已领有超80家航司在此常态运营，国表里洋客运通航点达230多个，航路荟萃掩饰各人五大洲，流畅外洋及地区近100个方针地，每周往来外洋及地区客运航班约1500架次。

转场运营20年来，白云机场累计接送搭客超9.5亿东谈主次，保险货邮糊涂量超2800万吨；日起降航班由2004年的500架次增至现在的超1500架次；日搭客量由2004年的5.6万东谈主次增至现在的超20万东谈主次。最岑岭单日接送搭客26.71万东谈主次，最岑岭单月接送搭客686.16万东谈主次。

据先容，接下来的8-9月，白云机场还将新开/加密广州至伊斯兰堡、宿务、万象、珀斯、济州岛、福冈、贝尔格莱德等多条外洋航路。

建筑全方针派别复合型外洋航空枢纽

依托广东和广州高质地发展和高水平对外怒放，白云机场正朝着邃晓世界、联通洲际、辐照世界的全方针派别复合型外洋航空枢纽全速迈进。

2020年9月27日，白云机场三期扩建工程开工。神志建成后，白云机场年搭客糊涂才能、货邮糊涂才能瞻望将分离达到1.2亿东谈主次、380万吨，较现在增长50%、52%。

字据谋划，白云机场翌日将建筑新的高铁站，引入广珠（澳）高铁、广河高铁等六条高速铁路，穗莞深城际（新白广段）、芳白城际等五条城轨在此交会，通过铁路详细掂量广州白云站、广州北站等进攻铁路枢纽。加上已有广州地铁3号线、广州东环城际以及机场高速、机场第二高速，构建起玄虚性一体化交通枢纽。

据悉，白云机场已到手取得2025年第七届ACI客户体验各人峰会及中国民用机场协会机场做事大会主理权。来岁9月，来无礼众政府机构、机场、航空公司、民航组织和掂量企业的上千名代表都聚广州，共同鼓吹民航发展、促进场地经济生意和疏导和谐。
